Privacy Policy

Wrender and Wrender World (together, “Wrender”, “we”, “us”) operate this early-access writing product from Australia (ABN 55 273 721 310). This policy explains what personal information we collect and why. It is written for a public beta. It is not a substitute for legal advice, and it does not claim an EU establishment or a GDPR representative.

What we collect

Account. Email address, password (stored by our auth provider, not in a form we can read), and the name you give at sign-up.
Waitlist. If you join a waitlist or request beta access, we store your email and optional name.
Feedback. Messages you send through the in-app form, whether it is a bug or a feature request, optional permission to share your account email, and any screenshots you attach.
Your writing content. Projects, maps, locations, characters, events, and images you upload. This is your work; we hold it so the product can show it back to you.
Product flags we store. When you accept early access, and whether you have finished or skipped the welcome tour. We do not run a third-party analytics script on the site today.

Why we use it

We use this information to run Wrender: create and keep your account, send confirmation and waitlist email, host your maps and notes, and read feedback so we can improve the beta. We do not sell your personal information.

Who processes it

We use other companies to operate the service. They process data on our instructions:

Supabase — accounts, database, and file storage
Vercel — website hosting
Resend — transactional and waitlist email

How long we keep it

Account and writing content stay while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, email hello@wrender.world. We delete the auth user and the profile data that cascades with it. Waitlist rows and files in storage may need a separate manual step; we will do that when you ask.

Australian privacy law

We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, as they apply to us. If you are outside Australia, the same practices still apply; we are not setting up a separate EU or UK privacy regime for this beta.

Children

Wrender is for writers aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
